Who and What is—Black Lives Matter?

by The Standard | Sep 25, 2020 | Michael Reed | 0 comments

Democrats are separating themselves from Black Lives Matter due to violence, riots, destruction.

Some may view Black Lives Matter as a grassroots movement of concerned people gathering together. Closer examination reveals it is much more, including Marxist roots.

Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a corporation whose legal name is Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF). BLMGNF currently has sixteen (16) chapters across the country and in Canada, including: Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Lansing, Long Beach, Memphis, Nashville, New York City, Philadelphia, South Bend and Toronto, Vancouver, and Waterloo in Canada. This may better explain how and why riots erupt simultaneously from a supposedly grassroots movement.

BLMGNF is a not-for-profit corporation but not tax exempt, so donations are not tax deductible. That is, unless you go to their website to donate. IN that case you are linked over to ‘ActBlue Charities‘ which will take your donation, give you a tax deduction, and then distribute your donation to BLMGNF.

Who is ActBlue?

The ActBlue web page says they’ve raised several Billion dollars for Democrat causes. It also says:

Our [ActBlue] platform is available to Democratic candidates and committees, progressive organizations, and nonprofits that share our values for no cost besides a 3.95% [processing fee] on donations. And we operate as a conduit, which means donations made through ActBlue to a campaign or organization are considered individual donations”.

ActBlue is a top Democratic fundraising group.

ActBlue consists of three parts: ActBlue Charities facilitates donations to left-of-center 501(c)(3) nonprofits; Act Blue Civics is its 501(c)(4) affiliate; ActBlue is a 527 Political Action Committee. These three have raised over $5 billion dollars in the sixteen years since it started. If its 3.95% transaction fee has been applied to all donations, that equates to over $197 million. So, ActBlue is a Democratic Party front affiliated with BLMGNF. If only it was that simple and stopped there.

Per Business Insider Australia, “ActBlue… distributes the money raised to Thousand Currents, which is then granted to Black Lives Matter”.

What is Thousand Currents? (Formerly International Development Exchange)

Business Insider of Australia says, “Thousand Currents is a 501(3)(c) non-profit that provides grants to organizations that are… developing alternative economic models…” Some of those organizations promote and cause anarchy such as BLM, etc.

“Thousand Currents essentially acts as a quasi-manager for Black Lives Matter: ‘It provides administrative and back office support, including finance, accounting, grants management, insurance, human resources, legal and compliance,’ [Executive Director Solome] Lemma said”.  (Finance, insurance, human resources, legal and compliance?  It sounds like General Motors!)

Convicted terrorist Susan Rosenberg is the vice chair of the Thousand Currents board of directors. She was until recently on the charity’s website until the page was taken down. The page was removed following exposure by Capital Research Center for her involvement with a communist terrorist groups in the 1980’s.

So, who supports Black Lives Matter?

BLM has some well heeled donors who are investing multi-millions into their coffers to make radical change in the political landscape of America. This change comes while getting around Federal Election laws which limit how much may be spent on a political campaign and requires dollar amounts and names of who donated to whom.

GoFundMe tracks charitable giving through their business. They list Black Lives Matter as expecting to receive $8 Billion dollars in July this year. But, “Several [financial commitments] are multi-year promises of support. Nike and Michael Jordan, for example, will donate $100 million in $10 million annual blocks. They also say that the “corporations on our BLM response list earned $500 billion in 2019”.

Michael Jordan

The Jordan brand and Michael Jordan said:

“Today, we are announcing that Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand will be donating $100 million over the next 10 years to organizations dedicated to ensuring racial equality, social justice and greater access to education.”

This is enough money to raise an army of Marxist activists and even convince a few who vote in State and National legislatures who vote on laws we are all expected to obey. Big money from corporate sources are buying influence and votes similar to how Wall Street bankers financed the Russian Revolution a hundred years ago! This could be a catastrophic formula for Americans if they do not step up now!

“Nike and Michael Jordan, for example, will donate $100 million”

Some of those contributing millions to BLM are:

According to the list above contributors to the Black Lives Matter campaign have already received billions of dollars with more on the way to fight the citizens, the culture and the government of the United States of America! The onslaught in the list above is led by The Bank of America.

Those numbers are disputed by other organizations as not accurate. Here is another source that has links to company announcements. Everybody will have to determine if the companies are telling it straight or trying to avoid a public relations disaster.

What is the significance of the above?

Black Lives Matter is not some fly-by-night fad that is going to loot and destroy and then disappear into the ash heap of history. It is a multi corporation supported big business which is heavily associated with and supports the Democrat Party and it is here to stay.

Arguing whether Black Lives, or All Lives, Matter is meaningless and distracts us from what they are trying to achieve. It is a far left-wing political movement that will have a significant impact on the Democrat Party programs for the foreseeable future. Socialism and Communism are intimately linked to these efforts while the US Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights have no place in their plans. Patrisse Cullors, one of Black Lives Matter’s co-founders is widely reported as saying, “We are trained Marxists”.

The president of ‘Greater New York Black Lives Matter’ said that if the movement fails to achieve meaningful change during nationwide protests, they will “burn down this system.” Not the peaceful change we celebrate under our Constitution, but violent change. For those of us who like our Constitution, this is a forceful challenge thrown in our face. If you have wondered why politicians have danced around criticizing Black Lives Matter, now you know.

Marxism is about force, power and control. The current riots are only a sampling of what the future may hold if BLM is allowed to operate unbridled. In the meantime organizations like BLM appear to have great funding from corporations largely supported by middle class Americans.
