Millions of conservatives across the nation have seen a message when trying to access their YouTube account. But, because they are conservatives and not politically correct (social Marxism) the social media giant censors our free speech! The Standard has experienced that censorship for merely reporting on news with no comment at all! Photo Michael Reed

It will probably not surprise you that social media giants like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and others target conservative publications and their content. Thankfully Twitter at least has given some temporary relief but overall it is business as usual with censorship having free run.

Even this past month Mastodon, a social media service platform modeled on Twitter has begun censoring conservative thought. The typical response was given along with a permanent ban of the account. They said:

Reason: Content violates the following community guidelines
• Do not share intentionally false or misleading information

The big question is always, “false according to what alleged metric?” And what alleged “false or misleading information” justifies a permanent lifetime ban?

Why would a social media platform censor written speech designed to inform and educate? Why would a public platform prevent The Standard or any conservative media from speaking on researched facts to an audience who wants to hear truth? Especially a message so pressing as one concerning child sex trafficking on the US and Mexico border!?

Gatestone recently wrote “The criminal practice of trafficking and abusing hundreds of thousands of migrant children who cross the southern border is now, thanks to the open-border policy of the Biden Administration, apparently ‘normal’ inside the US.”

The results of content suppression are very clear. Social media is trying to limit who can see and read opinions and ideas foreign to their snowflake brains. Creepy censors attempt to shutdown any and all thoughts that go contrary to theirs, which is really too bad. Why? Because the free exchange of thought is how we learn and make discovery. Nobody on this earth has all the answers or solutions, but through free speech and discussion of ideas we can learn and discover more, perhaps much that we never thought of before.

The article titles listed above are only some of the articles since June 1st!

This censorship also serves to damage our brand and our ability to reach others with our ideas on social media platforms and where those readers can share our articles. Speech is a terrible thing to lose. It also hurts our ability to raise much needed money to fund this publication.

Will you help us fight back? Don’t be among those cold and timid souls who Theodore Roosevelt spoke about who experience neither defeat or victory! Stand tall! Join with us! March forward! Donate now!

We face a hostile social and media environment, and it’s getting worse! Big Tech are suppressing, obstructing and even banning the content of people and organizations who dare express opinions differing from the leftist “woke” orthodoxy. The Standard is a target of their suppression! Because of their censorship of our social media (even our website has been hacked and blocked!) it has taken a toll on our readership, our subscriber numbers, and our ability to reach the public with our research, analysis and reporting.

What are we doing about it?

Just like SC Freedom Caucus Chairman Adam Morgan said after their free speech victory earlier this summer  ‘we’re fighting back’! And with your help, we will continue the fight as we begin our sixth year in print and online!

That’s right, we’re celebrating five full years of publishing in print form as well as online this summer. With the generous support of donors like you, we will continue to research and report on the issues that are important to you and your family.

Stand with us now as we continue to bring you real news with conservative views! We’re counting on your generosity to help us. Even $1 dollar you can donate is more than zero! Right? It’s not really a matter of how much will you give, but rather will you give at all?

Despite stumbling blocks thrown in our way by those who would silence us, we continue to tirelessly research, analyze and report on the challenges and threats we face in our local community our country, and western civilization. We do all we can to make sure you get solid information, please stand with us so we can continue to do so. Help us pull the weight and spread the load. Thanks for your support!
