The second impeachment battle is over! But, the cancel culture communist movement is alive and well, and a politically correct war is raging for the thoughts and allegiances of people throughout the country. South Carolina is no exception to that generalization.

MyPillow founder and chairman, Mike Lindell

On Wednesday afternoon a small contingent of women from the SC Women for Trump Columbia Chapter gathered in Lexington, SC in front of one of the stores that recently decided to drop the MyPillow brand from their offerings. The women gathered to express their disapproval of the company’s recent corporate office decision to drop MyPillow and the opinions of its chairman Mike Lindell.

The retailer exodus came after Dominion Voting Systems sent a letter threatening legal action in January against Lindell following his statements indicating fraud had taken place during the general election this past November. Retailers soon thereafter promptly began the exodus and distancing from the MyPillow product offering.

The opinions of Lindell, who has recently produced a two hour long video dissecting and detailing a fraudulent election process during the 2020 general election, included experts in voting machine and elections who verified Lindell’s statements. This video has been seen by millions after it aired on broadcast stations like One America News Network (OANN) and others. It was quickly removed from many platforms including YouTube.

Pamela Godwin, Director of the SC Women for Trump, told The Standard that they plan to continue these protests until businesses who become ‘cancel culture commissars’ “feel it in their bottom line”.

SC Women for Trump protested in front of Kohl’s Department store in Lexington.

“We are pushing back against cancel culture,” said Godwin. She continued that “cancel culture is a disease. It’s a tyranny of the mind, it’s brainwashing.”

Some passersby stopped to show their support and agreement. Some offered suggestions that there is a “political assault” taking place. Others gave their opinion that if Kohls won’t support us, “we won’t support [Kohl’s] anymore”. Another passerby said “They can take this coupon and when I can use it on MyPillow.com, that’s where I’ll use it.”

Godwin said “all things America first.”

Lindell has generated a lot of support due to the distancing of big box retailers from MyPillow. Among supporters and commenters some on Twitter have said:

There has been a groundswell of support for MyPillow founder Mike Lindell and, says Lindell, his MyPillow company has grown because of it.

Comments on the brouhaha have ranged from ‘retailers can choose what they want to carry’ to ‘Why buy from a retailer when you can buy directly from the manufacturer?’ Lindell has fought back with discounts of his pillow and bedding products online and in retail stores that have decided to continue to carry his product lines.

SC Trump Women protest Kohl’s in Lexington

With the recent shutdowns from the CCP virus scare this past year many retailers are feeling the slow down in business in the early months of this year, and the effect of requiring masks to enter their stores. As a result many small businesses have gone belly up due to sheer economic let down.

Other small businesses have joined together to stand in solidarity with one another and be a support during a difficult year. Business coalitions, like ‘Businesses for Liberty‘ which started in South Carolina and is rapidly spreading across the country, are mounting opposition to political correctness and urging support among small local businesses in the wave of economic shutdowns and large corporate owned retail stores.

Big box stores, like Kohl’s and others, have fared relatively well due to their sheer size and coast to coast outlets to offset losses, and thus closures. But, many of them have chosen to make a statement in censoring the statements of outspoken conservatives like Lindell by putting financial pressure on his MyPillow company.

Among companies that have dropped MyPillow due to the opinions of its chairman Mike Lindell are:

  • Kohl’s,
  • JC Penney,
  • Dollar General,
  • Mattress Firm,
  • Fingerhut,
  • Coborn’s
  • Shop HQ,
  • The Shopping Channel,
  • Chewy.com
  • Affirm,
  • Colony Brands,
  • BJ’s,
  • Bluestream,
  • H-E-B,
  • Bed, Bath & Beyond,
  • Canadian Shopping Channel,
  • Wayfair,
  • Kroger,
  • Kinney Drugs,
  • Macy’s who listed MyPillow as “out of stock”,
  • Among other retailers.

Lindell told the Business Insider in January speaking of the lost retailers that “They were afraid of being boycotted by customers because they live in fear of all these attack groups”. He further said, “And they’re not their customers. What’s going to happen to them now is that all the real customers are going to be very upset.”

“Supporters who drove through the shopping center parking lot honked, shouted in agreement, and stopped to share how they feel about the political assault waged by retailers on Trump supporters and those with whom they have a difference of opinion,” narrated The Standard videographer, Zoe Warren. Godwin concluded, “we’re going to show our support not only with our voices, but with our pocketbook.”
