Biden Quietly Sells Off Border Wall Material So The Project Can Not Begin Again

Many Texans and others along the Rio Grande river outside McAllen Texas live in constant fear and concern due to the large number of illegal migrants and the gangs that control the state’s Southern border. Most of these people have lived there their entire lives. Some are “snowbirds” who fell in love with the sunny climate and slow pace not realizing that the sleepy Texas town was a high traffic area for illegal migrants sneaking across the border and looking for the best America has to offer without coming in the front door.

President Trump had declared he was going to build a Southern border wall prior to his election in 2016. That wall was in the process of being built along the 1,933 miles of the USA stretching from just south of San Diego, California to Brazos Island, Texas in 2020.

That all changed following the 2020 election and Joe Biden taking up residence in the White House. Biden immediately halted construction on the border wall on day one and encouraged illegal traffic to flow across the border in a March 25, 2021 speech to the nation. That opened the floodgates to now more than 2 million illegal migrants flooding across the border yearly and that number is growing.

Joe Biden said back in August 2020 that “There will not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration. Not another foot.” That said, Department of Homeland Security did manage to close four gaps in the border wall in one of the busiest sectors for illegal crossings in southern Arizona near Yuma in 2022.

Now the Biden Administration is quietly selling off the materials that were intended to build the wall. Those already purchased materials have been setting all along the border for almost three years at this instant! There are material depots all along the Southern border that look similar to the one pictured above.

Multiple millions of dollars of materials that could help prevent the invasion and destruction of America. That destruction is becoming more apparent daily as drug and human traffickers peddle their illegal contraband. In the increasing numbers of thefts, robberies, murders and child trafficking.

That’s why border residents live in fear and dare not speak out. This writer attempted interviews with several residents living along the border. Most immediately said, “No”. One said ‘yes, but not in public’ suggesting I meet at their home. When I arrived further down the small road in the neighborhood leading to their front door they yelled from behind a screened in porch that they had changed their mind about giving an interview because they were not sure who would see it.

This is the attitude today in America! When United States citizens live in fear because of foreign nationals and the gangs they control in America there is a serious problem in our own country. This writer later found out that some local elected people were connected to illegal trafficking across the border and making town and county jobs available to the illegals. The Mayor’s office and Town Council members suddenly were no longer available for interviews that were previously set up.

The materials the Biden Administration is now selling were originally concealed from those purchasing, not told they were sections of the border wall steel tubing. The border partitions appeared in August on GovPlanet.com, a platform where government agencies sell materials.

An undisclosed agent familiar with the sale said, “We are legally not allowed to mention these are the border wall materials, or we could lose our jobs.” He continued by saying “But that’s what they are — 110 percent.”

The steel sections were listed for sale where one lot sold August 16th for $29,100. The Post additionally said that 81 lots of steel parts have been sold by the Biden administration since April. The latest materials are on the auction block for two dates, August 23rd, and August 30th, with 13 more auctions listed.

In 2020 President Trump diverted Pentagon funding to border wall materials and its construction. That all ceased upon Biden taking office. Now under Biden policies the military has spent more than $300 million to store those already paid for materials instead of using them for border security. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Mississippi ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, called the decision “a wasteful and ludicrous decision”.

In May, Senators Wicker, Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Joni Ernst, R-Iowa introduced the Finish It Act. The Act would  require the federal government to utilize materials already purchased to build the border wall or transfer them to state governments to do so.

This legislation was included in the bipartisan Defense Authorization Act passed last month. Republican lawmakers say auctioning off the wall parts are an attempt by federal officials to rush the sale of them before House Republicans can pass corresponding legislation.

Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton was quoted in the NY Post as saying, “Leaving the border open to terrorists while selling border security materials at a loss is Bidenomics in a nutshell.”

This move by the Biden Administration could prove foolish if Congress votes to resume construction of the border wall potentially costing taxpayers millions of dollars in new costs plus wasted expenses to date. Proponents appear to be using the sale to challenge Senators to back off pushing for the resumption of building the wall.

Since June there has been an increase of 33% of illegal migrants arrested crossing the border of the US along the Southern border. This after a new asylum restriction in May. The Tucson area alone accounted for 39,215 arrests in July. This was more than double the amount since July 2022. August is turning out to be another huge increase month to date with agents arresting one large group of 533 people from 17 different countries the first week.
