Tens of thousands of supporters started arriving in Wellington, Ohio, on Monday, June 21st—five days before President Donald J. Trump’s “Save America” event—camping out in anticipation of the President’s Saturday evening speech. They came from as far away as California, Oregon and Washington State. Others came from from places like Texas, Illinois, Missouri, South Carolina and Florida. My son, Samuel, and I were among those who traveled to the Ohio venue to see and hear what the President had on his mind.

They came bag and baggage coupled with their trailers, tents, tables, wagons, banners and merchandise in tow. Many also came with their cameras, phones, and recording devices to capture the moments for eternity. They filled the rural Lorain County fairgrounds parking facility to overflowing with one local resident, Tom, saying that he’d lived there all his life of 72 years and that “I’ve never seen this many cars here at this fairgrounds”. There are estimates of 35-40,000 people in attendance.

We met many great patriots while there: Gigi from New York, Mark from Cleveland, Max from California, Angie from Missouri, and William from Washington State and many others. We also had opportunity to interview some of those we spoke to: Jennifer Watters from Illinois, Tina Giavasis volunteer for Trump, Sam Morgante from Florida, Will Wieting aka Mustang Medic. We even saw Chris Cox with Bikers for Trump from Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina who had brought an entourage of bikers with him. Each of these was enthusiastic in their mission to join the President and fellow patriots at the Trump “Save America” Rally. And they came steadily throughout the day with this editor interviewing many of these people (these interviews are available on several of our social media platforms).

Editor Michael Reed is seen on the top left corner of this photo interviewing Vietnamese immigrant Tien Chang.

One man, Tien Chang, from Fullerton, California, who escaped communism in South Vietnam, brought with him a huge handmade banner that said “Trump is Love” on one side and “Trump Won” on the other side. Others echoed the same sentiment with many and various slogans, sayings, and ‘Trumpisms’ like “Make America Great Again” or “Keep America Great”. Others were more crude and had language we won’t repeat in a public forum.

When Saturday evening finally arrived Trump did not disappoint! The greeting was deafening when he came on stage that evening as the crowd erupted into cheers and applause from every corner of the Lorain County Fairgrounds. He walked onto the stage with Lee Greenwood’s “I’m Proud to be an American” song playing while throwing red “Make America Great Again” hats to the crowd.

When Trump thanked Ohioans who helped him win a November 3rd victory the cheers were even louder. It was plain to see that Trump is probably more popular now than ever as the crowd chanted U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A!

Trump quickly got down to business, welcoming those present and announcing “in 2022 we’re going to take back the House and the Senate. And we will take back America—and we will do it soon.” At that the crowd erupted into ecstasy and cheering.

He continued that “with your help we’re going to defeat the radical Democrats… and we’re going to elect proud America first Republicans next year.”

The President said that “after five months the country is a complete and total catastrophe” noting that “crime is surging, murders are soaring, police departments are being gutted, illegal aliens are overrunning the borders, nobody’s ever seen anything like it… drug cartels and human traffickers are back in business like never before with numbers they’ve never even thought possible.” He continued that “just a few short months ago drugs and trafficking were way down.” He noted that under Joe Biden and the Democrats the country has gotten “very, very weak and very, very pathetic.”

The 45th President pointed out that “left-wing indoctrination and critical race theory is being forced” on children in schools as many boo’s arose from the crowd. He continued that “gas prices are up, inflation is skyrocketing, China, Russia and Iran are humiliating our country.”

Trump took direct aim at the oval office and said that “Joe Biden is destroying our nation right before our very own eyes.” He then appealed to the patriots gathered and back at home and said that “the number one priority for everyone who wants to save America is to pour every single ounce of energy you have into winning a gigantic victory in the mid-terms and in 2024.”

He said that “together we will send Joe Biden and the fake news media…” He then interjected “Do you miss me? They [the media] miss me.”

“There is no more dire threat to America than our borders, other than perhaps our elections… that’s probably the biggest threat of all…” Trump said.

“Immediately upon taking office, Joe Biden deliberately and systematically, through his people because I don’t think he did it, dismantled America’s border defenses and incited a flood of illegal migrants like this country has never seen. They violated our laws, from every single corner of the globe…” he said.

Border Patrol agent on the border.

The President remarked that illegal border crossings are “up 976% since just a short few months ago”. He iterated that when he left office he gave the Biden administration the “most secure border the nation has ever seen” and he added complete “with 500 miles of border wall” that the Trump administration built and it was “working well” to stop illegal traffick. Trump said that he had ended “catch and release” but the Biden administration “is back at it”. He thanked ICE and Border Patrol for the work they do on the border.

He commented that Biden has violated his constitutional oath, endangered our safety and violated our sovereignty. Trump reminded the audience that what Biden has done is “unthinkable, and I said it was going to happen”. He then called for a Republican Congress to “shut down the lawless Biden agenda”. Trump continued that “we’ve got to defund his reckless immigration policies and restore our nation’s Southern border to where it was.”

When Trump spoke these words the crowd erupted in to a chant of “Four more years, four more years, four more years”.

Trump then announced that “Kamala Harris, your Vice President, only went to the border yesterday” to a crowd of boo’s from the crowd. He commented that she only went because he was invited by Texas Governor Abbott and the Border Patrol to go to the border next week.

“The open border is contributing to massive crime” said the 45th President. “Other countries are… opening their prisons… drug dealers, traffickers… and send[ing] them to the United States. It’s insanity and it’s destroying our country.”

He said that illegal aliens with prior charges gunned down a man in Boston in the street, and in Louisiana an illegal man who entered the U.S. unaccompanied, under Obama was charged with hacking a woman and her sister to death with a machete, and in Ohio an illegal man was charged with murder.

Nineteen minutes into his speech the President read “The Snake” story. He said it is symbolic of what’s happening on the border along with it’s “vicious bite”. The crowd again was pleased by their applause and cheers. He followed the poem with the fact that we’re taking in “killers [and] horrible people” and that the “Democrats are doing everything possible to put your family in grave danger. I don’t know if they’re doing it out of naivete or doing it because they think it’s really good to have all these people coming into our country, but they are putting your family into a very, very bad position: releasing criminal aliens, defunding the police, abolishing cash bail, look at New York… Crime is through the roof.”

Police are not allowed to do their job. They are trying to take away your guns. Chicago which is the single most dangerous city large scale and has the strongest gun laws in the country, they say the strongest gun laws in the world. People are being shot by the thousands! Worse than Afghanistan!” He continued that he started the process to bring the troops home from the Middle East and now they protect their own border.

Trump said that as a country “we can’t go forward until we get to the bottom of the November 3rd election.” Until the American people are satisfied that they have fair and honest elections.

President Trump Endorses Max Miller for Congress.

He then gave support to Max Miller of Ohio’s 16th Congressional District who is running for the Congressional seat currently represented by Representative Anthony Gonzalez. Gonzalez was one of the Republicans who voted to impeach Trump.

In May, the Ohio Republican Party Central Committee voted to censure Gonzalez, and called for his resignation for his vote to impeach former President Donald Trump. This is a very rare occurrence for a sitting and current Congressional office holder to be asked by his own party to resign.

Ohio Senatorial candidate Josh Mandel said in May that he “strongly supported efforts to censure and expel traitor Congressmen like Anthony Gonzalez who voted to impeach President Trump.”

Trump commented that Gonzalez was always asking to ride on Air Force One and then Trump said, “the next thing I know he’s trying to impeach me”. He followed that up with, that’s Gonzalez’ behavior “a character trait that’s not so good, he’s a sellout, he’s a fake Republican and a disgrace to your state. He’s the candidate that you don’t want representing your state.” Trump then went into the Democrat favorable voting record of Gonzalez calling on Max Miller to speak.

Neither Rep. Gonzalez, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine nor Senator Rob Portman attended the Save America Rally.

Attending were US Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene, Jim Jordan, and North Dakota Governor Kristi Noem who were recognized. Jordan said few words other than they were looking for a Trump election victory in 2024.

Trump said that Democrats and the dominant media now admit many things he said were right. News topics such as Hunter Biden, the Covid-19 virus is actually from China, Lafayette Square was not cleared for photo opp and the church was burned the day before, Russian bounty story, etc. Trump commented that the news media probably “destroyed a lot of lives” due to false reporting on the “danger” of hydroxychloroquine.

He spoke against government run schools teaching school kids to “hate our country” and that “the radical left is trying to destroy our country”. President Trump exposed many of the ills that have come forward front and center and are now taking place in our country since January, and he’s ready to do something about it. That’s why the crowd chants “Trump, Trump, Trump”! Trump knew his audience and appealed to their hearts. And the crowd loved every second of it.
