My Dad, the publisher of The Standard, has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer which has metastasized throughout his body and he is fighting for his life. To compound the cancer he also recently had double kidney failure and had to undergo major surgery to help correct the blockage caused by the cancer.

He spent a week in ICU following that surgery. He had to return to the ER a week later when the tubes got infected. He has No insurance and we’re asking for your help.

My Dad has never asked for help from anybody but now he is in need. He has exhausted all his personal resources and has been unable to work for two months.

He is a fighter and will never give up. Will you help?

Many can give some, some can give much, but every dollar will help whether 5, 50, 500, 5,000 or more. All donations from this fundraiser will go to Michael Reed to provide financial support for his care and to help him fight this battle.

He has a testimony where God saved him from a sinking sailboat 200 miles out in the Atlantic many years ago. Following that event he entered the ministry serving as a pastor, evangelist, and missionary. He also volunteered his time to help local youth as a football, baseball and cross country coach to minister to and teach them personal skills that would keep them off the streets and drugs. Even in the hospital he was ministering to the doctors, nurses and staff.

He started a small local newspaper, The Standard, where he is the publisher and editor. But now he is unable to work because of the cancer and treatment.

He has ongoing treatments and seems to be making improvements with a special diet and powerful supplements. But it is a long treatment and far from over.

He needs your prayers and financial help to overcome the devastation on his body, life, and the enormous expenses associated with his health care and recovery. He has always been a giver to others but now needs those who will give to him.

Please help my dad who has dedicated his life to serving God and others in his time of need? Will you please help my Dad?

Thank you for your love and support!
